Just wanted to know how your experiences of upgrading to 7.7.3 have been. We are looking at going from 7.7.0 to 7.7.3 and would just like to know if anyone has experienced any pain. Obviously web/mail is a crucial system and I'm just doing some prep work to make sure nothing breaks when I do this.

The Given Database has case sensitive collation. Case Sensitive collation is not supported.

When running an investigation report, the URLs show as IP address's for the remote site, but the primary site has the full host name. How can I get both to show the Host names?
We want to implement Websense Web Filtering for the first time. Do you know if websence have a feature to ask the users to agree with a policy the first time they connect to the Internet and keep a record of it? Like when you install a software, you have to agree with the conditions before installing the software.

We currently use google as our email provider for our business email and management has asked me to block all webmail with the exception of gmail. I was going to try whitelist gmail.com and mail.google.com but it appears that most of the time when the users access these sites they come across as IP addresses. I began allow these addresses as I could find them but this seems like a very long and tedious process and isn't working very well. Is there a way to fix this so my users can get to gmail and not other webmail sites like yahoo etc.?
I have been trying to add Active directory users to the clients list in order to manage their policies.
I have around 840 entries in my AD.
whenever I click on the arrow to go to the 2nd page it will stop showing anything. it will show the container only and it will be empty.
it is strange because when i was using 7.6 i was working fine.
now I am using 7.7.3 web security with windows server enterprise 2008 R2
I thought it might be the browser so i checked in major 3 browsers IE FF and Chrome all the same no 2nd page opening!
I spent the past day figuring out a solution also i couldn't find anything about the issue only !

Hi All,
I'm a new Websense (7.7) admin in an ICT department looking to set up access to the Websense console for our Helpdesk staff. My aim is to provide them access to only create and delete exceptions as well as the Toolbox options of 'URL category' and 'Test Filtering'. They should not have access to filters,policies or reports.
What I have done is added the "Helpdesk" Admin account (from AD) into the TRITON settings and unticked "Global Administrator", only granting them access to the Web Security Module (2nd radio button).
I have then gone into Web Security > Policy Management > Delegated Administration and selected the Super Administrator role to add the new admin into. The permission I have set for them at this stage is 'Policy Management - Exceptions Only' and all other permissions unticked.
When I've logged in as this user, I get the expected view of the console : No reporting or policy management on the left side apart from 'Exceptions'. However, when I try to add an exception (block or permit) I do not get OK/cancel buttons at the bottom, only a 'back' button like the auditor role gets. This user is able to delete exceptions, just not add them.
Have I done something wrong or is this expected behaviour?

Then I have to insert a Captcha.
It seems that Google suspicious the Websense external IP: 85.115.58.180

We have created an exception which is not working. We added the url and the ip address to the exception yet page is still not showing. What else do we need to do?
Our internal Scanmail system has the ability to quarantine Password Protected documents. It would great to be able to have the ability to Park any attachments that are password protected so our users can directly download them via the Triton Cloud Security Portal. thanks...
Hi Team, I have a MCS customer where they would like to use SIEM integration on Triton UI to forward the log transaction data to third party server. Cureent setup/settings Websense version: 7.7.3 Current status: We have confirmed with the help of packet capture that websense server is sending the transaction data to the third party server (event log analyzer 7), but still the logs are not showing on third party server. Please suggest if we need to do any more on websense server side (like SIEM format) or on third party server. Regards, Harsha

I am new to Websense, and we have a website that is being blocked by websense saying it is a marijauana site (second hand info) i have verified that the site address etc goes to a kindle books and tips page. it has temporarily been added to a bypass list.
what is the appropriate procedure to have websense reclassify it correctly?
We have an issue with users who are members of many Active Directory groups (700+) getting an authentication error from the Content gateway using Kerberos authentication. This issue was logged with Websense. The engineer who assisted requested this feature request is logged. Throughout our environment we implemented the Microsoft setting found in this KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/327825 some time ago and this has eliminated issues with other systems access. Can Websense provide a solution to increase the max kerberos token size to 64K to match the Microsoft limit please?
Please add the dependencies for the windows services so that in case of RTM restart it is enough to restart the RTM Client and the other services will be stopped and started in the right order.
