We have added an Remote Filtering Server (RFS) to our Websense environment and installed the Remote Filtering Client (RFC) on a test notebook.
When the client is inside the network it can telnet to the hearbeat port and not reach the remote filtering port. When the client is outside the network it can telnet into the remote filtering port, but not the heartbeat. All as it should be.
When the client is connected to a public WiFi, filtering works fine. When the client however is connected to the LAN we are getting "Request has been blocked. Reason: Websense Remote Filter has been interrupted. Options: Please wait while the service is restarted. If you are unable to access the Internet after a few minutes, contact your network administrator."
We have the setting "fail close" enabled - on purpose.
Any idea what's wrong?
